Knives are objects that allow Strong Creatives to cut the fabric between the real world and the world of thought, allowing them access to their Inscape. However, the use of their gifts come at a cost.
Background[]
When a knife is destroyed, Strong Creatives seem to be able to summon a new one. This is the case with Vic, who after her Motorbike is destroyed by Manx, she summons The Triumph 8 years later, and also with Jolene, who was not able to use her roller skates, so she summoned a wheelchair that could also help her travel to the Dark Tunnels. This also might suggest that Knives take the form of something dear to the Strong Creative in their current time of life and they may change to adapt to the user. Additionally, Strong Creatives have a deep physical connection to their Knives; Vic experienced severe migraines when Manx threw her first Knife onto The Shorter Way. Manx also displays physical pain when The Wraith is damaged.
