Bad Mother[]
Millie Manx and the vampire children of Christmasland play a sinister game. They repeat the phrase "Bite the smallest! Eat him up!" Meanwhile, a group of kids sneak out into the woods to get a look at Sleigh House, or at least where it once stood. They’ve heard stories of how Charlie Manx used to cook kids and eat them. There’s believed to be a large number of missing kids buried on the land.
Back in Christmasland, Millie and the vampire children notice the lights flicker on and off. They suddenly start to hear the kids from the real world. Millie follows the voices into the woods, where a breach between Christmasland and the real world has formed. Millie stabs her sword through the static, and it appears on the other side. Rather than taking the risk herself, she pushes one of the vampire children through the breach. He makes it over and bares his fangs, causing the frightened human kids to run. He goes chasing after them but immediately disintegrates. And then, all at once, the lights of Christmasland flicker out. Millie fears the worst for her father.
Millie calls Vic McQueen and demands to know what she’s done to Christmasland, as it has gone dark. Vic tells Millie to stop calling her house. Millie advises Vic to leave Christmasland alone or else her father will stick a fork in her eyes and pop them out like corks. Millie calls Vic a liar and a pest. Vic informs Millie that she’s coming for Manx and to never call her again.
Good Father[]

She then gives him an Eskimo and butterfly kiss. Manx tells Millie to close her eyes and dream of Christmasland.
Present day; Manx exits the car, covered in blood and barely able to walk. Manx calls Millie from a pay phone and tells her to stay brave. She asks when he is coming home. He isn’t sure, but he tells her not to worry as Christmasland is forever. They’ll always be safe inside his gates. He promises her that the lights will never go out again and that he’s on his way.
Flashback; Manx returns home with a 1938 Rolls Royce Wraith in pristine condition. Millie is overwhelmed with joy, but Cassie is not impressed, questioning how much the vehicle cost. Manx reveals that it cost $3,000. He pawned her mother’s rings, which was the last thing Cassie had of her. She tells Manx to take back the Wraith or else she and Millie are leaving. Millie approaches her father and gives him an Eskimo kiss. Inside, Cassie packs her and Millie’s belongings. Millie, however, doesn’t want to go to her aunt Beatrice’s. Cassie reveals that they’re taking a bus. She purchased tickets last week, having planned ahead for just this moment. Manx admits to having failed them and offers to drive them to her sister’s house himself.
Cassie tells Manx that she and Millie are freezing in the back of the Wraith. He intentionally misses the turn off to her sister’s house and speeds up the car. He tells her that he was never going to allow her to take his daughter and everything he’s ever worked for. He claims that all women are alike. They’re all hen-pecking harpies and whores. Millie appears to be sick. She shows her mother that her teeth are coming out, though Millie is amused, whereas Cassie is frightened. Millie’s fangs come in and she attacks her mother, ripping the skin off her face. Manx is empowered by this act. He passes out but soon awakens to find himself more youthful than before. Millie then points towards Christmasland, which up until now, Manx didn’t know was real. They exit the Wraith and approach the gates.
Present day; Manx arrives at Christmasland and greets his children. Millie runs into his arms. He introduces everyone to Mike, though Millie is only interested in whether her father is staying. To make up for his absence, Manx feeds Nathan Demeter, who he’s had tucked away in his trunk, to the kids. However, Millie doesn’t join in as her only concern is with her father. He tells her that he will be leaving soon as there are other children that need saving, though he promises her that he will return.
The Night Road[]
Millie chases behind her father’s Wraith as he leaves Christmasland in search of more boys and girls to save. She finds herself outside the gate, which closes behind her. And so, Millie travels into the woods, beyond Candy Mountain, where she finds a house that resembles that of her childhood home. She enters, going room to room. One room in particular is filled with presents. She hears someone knocking on the door. He says "Let me out. The best sledding is the hill beyond the grove." But the door won’t budge. So, she walks into the next room over, where she finds clothes hanging in a closet. She tries them on, laughing as she does so. Suddenly, she finds herself being grabbed by her mother’s mangled ghost. She forces Millie to look at herself in the mirror, which shows a version of Millie prior to Christmasland. She then breaks free of her mother’s grip and runs out the house.
Millie calls Parnassus for her father. She asks when he is coming home. Manx tells her that while there’s been a delay, she’ll have a new friend to play with soon. Assuming she’s been a good girl. Millie reveals that she saw a light from a house on top of Candy Mountain. Manx reminds Millie that children who venture beyond the gates end up on the naughty list. She questions who is up there. Manx claims that nothing is up there and warns her that snooping will land her on the naughty list. He depends on her to spread Christmas cheer while he’s away and to take care of the children. He tells her Merry Christmas and hangs up the phone. The lights within the bar suddenly start to flicker.
Against her father’s wishes, Millie returns to the house on Candy Mountain. She cuts the head off a reindeer and places the head by the front door before ringing the doorbell and running away. She watches from a safe distance as her mother’s mangled ghost exits the house and stares at her from across the yard.

They head upstairs, where the man trapped behind a door breaks it open and grabs Millie by the shoulder. Cassie releases his grip and shuts the door back. She explains that when Manx died, both his mind and Christmasland became unstable, the cause for the blinking lights and thinning of the veil. When Millie asked Manx about the house, he said it didn’t exist. Cassie presumes that he’s forgotten it. His deepest fears reside within the house.
